Squeeze Punch Dimensional Flowers

One of the things I love about Fiskars Squeeze Punches is how you can create flowers from the variety of shapes available. These cards were embellished with flowers made from heart and star shaped Squeeze Punches. I simply layered multiple pieces of the different sizes to create the blooms.

Instructions (Happy Birthday Card):

  1. Create a 5 inch by 7 inch card.
  2. Cut a large squares and strips of patterned paper. Use the Twist & Flip Scallop Corner Punch for the top of the square. Use the Apron Border Punch for the bottom strip. Adhere pieces to page and add machine stitching, if desired.
  3. Squeeze Punch 6 of each size of the Funky Love Squeeze Punch; ink and curve tops of hearts by hand.
  4. Squeeze Punch a circle to use as the base to attach the petals.

  5. Start with the largest hearts in groups of three and adhere as shown. Continue layering hearts until the flower is complete.

  6. Add a button embellished with beads and glitter to the center of the flower.
  7. Adhere flower to left side of card just above the floral strip.
  8. Squeeze Punch Mint Condition Leaves, apply adhesive and tuck under the flower.
  9. Print sentiment on cardstock and tuck under flower. Use Adhesive Foam to give it lift.

Instructions (You’re In My Thoughts Card):

  1. Squeeze Punch 3 of each size star (9 stars for each of the larger flowers). Make enough for 2 larger flowers. For the 3rd flower, use only the Large and Medium stars ñ 6 pieces. Then ink edges of all the pieces.
  2. Lay out all of the stars on the Craft Mat and lightly mist with water.
  3. Gently crumple all the shapes, then unfold leaving the pieces slightly rumpled. Let dry thoroughly.
  4. While youíre waiting, create a 4.5 inch by 7 inch card.
  5. Cut 2 piece of patterned paper to fit inside the space of the card front. One should be just 2 inches wide and the other 4.5 inches.

  6. Machine stitch between the two.

  7. Once the pieces are dry, stack them (turning each star) and adhere together.

  8. Add a button to the center of each flower and adhere them to the card as shown.
  9. Cut a journal shape from the template, machine stitch around and adhere to bottom right of card.
  10. Print sentiment on cardstock and trim into small strips. Adhere to journal shape.
