Halloween Thank You Cards
Difficulty rating: Beginner
Designer: Lisa Truesdell
No matter the season, I always find myself needing thank you cards. I challenged myself to make these using no Halloween themed papers – I just dug into my stash for what I had on hand. I love how my Fiskars seasonal squeeze punches can make basic patterned paper into the perfect embellishment for any project!
Instructions:
Bat Thank You
- Trim black cardstock to 5.5 inches x 8.5 inches and fold into a card.
- Spray the front of the card with opaque white mist.
- Cut a strip of striped patterned paper and attach to the bottom of the card.
- Punch two XL and one L cloud using your squeeze punches. Attach to the front of the card.
- Punch two bats from black cardstock and attach to the front of your card.
- Punch one bat from orange patterned paper. Ink the edges and attach to the front of your card using foam adhesive.
- Punch a tag using the XXL Lever Punch. Stamp a thank you sentiment on it and add it to the bottom of the card. Staple in place.
- Add machine stitching.
Pumpkin Thank You
- Trim black cardstock to 5.5 inches x 8.5 inches and fold into a card.
- Spray the front of the card with opaque white mist.
- Trim a strip of striped paper. Use your Postage Stamp Border punch along the bottom and add to the front of your card.
- Use the Continuous Stamp Wheel to stamp polka dots on a piece of gray cardstock. Layer over the striped cardstock to the front of your card.
- Punch 5 'pumpkins' using your Apple a Day punch – discard the leaves. Draw a jack-o-lantern face on one of the pumpkins. Attach them to the front of your card, using foam adhesive under the jack-o-lantern.
- Punch two tags using the XXL tag punch. Layer under your other patterned papers and staple in place.
- Stamp a thank you sentiment across both tags.
- Add machine stitching
Envelopes
- Use the Continuous Stamp Wheel to stamp polka dots along the side of an envelope.
- Spray the envelope with gray mist.
- Use your Ultra ShapeXpress™ and Journal and Bracket template to cut a label out of yellow patterned paper. Ink the edges and add to the front of the envelope.
- Use your Batty for You Squeeze punch to punch a bat from orange cardstock. Ink the edges with orange ink and attach over the label.
