Monogram Notecards

Creating personalized handmade gifts doesn’t have to be time consuming or complex. These monogram notecards are a great example of that. Each design is simple and can be completed in just a few minutes. Wrap them up with a ribbon and you’ll have the perfect gift this season for teachers, caregivers, friends and family.
Instructions:
Start by creating several standard sized cardstock cards (4.25 inches x 5.5 inches) to fit in A2 envelopes. Set these aside and create card fronts for each as described below.
Tag Monogram Card:
Cut a 4.25 x 5.5 piece of black and white pattern paper for the background. Using the Bold Alpha Clear Stamp Set, stamp a letter (“S”) onto a light pattern paper and Squeeze Punch a Large Round ‘n Round Circle around the monogram letter. Adhere this with adhesive foam to a Lever Punched Tag from blue pattern paper.
Next, use the new Diamond Edge Border Punch on a strip of black pattern paper. To accent the border punch design a bit more, cut a pink strip of paper and adhere this to the back of the border punched paper.
Trim the strip to fit across the card and adhere it about 2 inches from the top. Then adhere the tag to the left side of the strip, as shown. Tie a bow with black hemp or ribbon and adhere it to the top of the tag as well as a small button. To finish, adhere this embellished card front to one of the cardstock cards.
Flower Ribbon Monogram Card:
Again, cut the 4.25 x 5.5 card front from pattern paper (black). Then cut a 2 inch by 4 inch strip from blue pattern paper. Use the Micro Tip Scissors to cut a wedge from the bottom of the strip. To do this, place a dot in the center and 1 inch from the bottom, then cut from the corner to the dot with your scissors. Adhere the paper ribbon to the left side of the card.
Once again, create the monogram letter on a 1.5 inch circle and adhere this to a Seal of Approval Squeeze Punched scalloped circle. Adhere this on the right side of the paper ribbon.
Lever Punch 3 small flowers from yellow pattern paper. Stack them and attach them to the top left of the scalloped circle with a mini brad to complete.
Framed Monogram Card:
Use the new Daisy Dew Border Punch on brown pattern paper and adhere it across a 4.25 x 5.5 card front. Cut another strip of pattern paper and adhere this just above the border punched paper.
Usually, I discard the left over punched shape from the Everywhere Punch Window System, but I love the new Framed punch shape and found that the holes in it can easily be covered up with a 1.5 inch circle Squeeze Punch. Simply rub the holes to flatten the edges and adhere the monogram circle on top.
Apply adhesive foam to the back of the frame and apply it to the right edge of the card. Complete the card with a Butterfly punch.
