Baby Quotes Mini Book

I created this little book of support for a new mom in my family who welcomed twins this spring. The book contains envelope pockets to hold love notes from family and friends. She can read the quotes and loving words of support when she needs a little boost during the midnight feedings.

This was a very simple book to put together and could be adapted for any theme mini book. I started out with large shipping tags to create the covers for the book. Cover the front and back of the tags with patterned paper scraps. For interest I used the kaleidoscope border punch to create a contrasting border on the tag edge.

Trim the patterned paper corners with scissors to mirror the tag edge. Punch a hole back in the tag through the patterned paper.

Stamp footprint and word images on white cardstock. Punch out image with seal of approval punch. Punch out both green and purple papers with Pretty Scallops and XL Seal of Approval Punch. Layer punches together and adhere to front of book.

Seal eight envelopes and trim off one end of each envelope to create pocket pages for inside of book.

Stamp quotes on the front of each envelope using stamp press and baby quotes stamps. Frame each of the quotes with frames from the Accents Stamp Set.

Punch large scallop squares from white card stock using the Stamp Out punch for hand written notes from loved ones.

Bind book and tie with green ribbon.

This little book could be set out at a baby shower with the blank notes and pens for guests to write in notes for the mom to be. Having the envelope pockets in the book leaves space to add in photos and other precious memorabilia from the babyís first days.
