Mixed Media Birthday Card

Sometimes, just taking 15 minutes to make a card makes me feel so creative.

When the days are hurried and there is no time to spare, it’s nice to sneak in a few minutes to make something simple that will brighten the recipients’ day.

I trimmed some patterned papers to layer onto the front of my card using the Amplify® Mixed Media Shears. I also trimmed some scalloped fabric and hemp cord to add onto the card.

Mixed Media Birthday Card step 1

I adhered the fabric onto itself in a circle to form a simple flower and topped it with a few buttons.

I then cut out a few leave shapes from felt and paper. A simple layering of paper and felt adds a lot of dimension to the leaves.

Mixed Media Birthday Card step 2

I finished the card off by adding a few sequins to add a pop of gold!
