Spring Inspiration Cards

Even in this digital age, the first thing that I do when I get home at night is check the mail. My heart skips a beat if I see a personal card amongst all the bills and junk. Who doesn’t love getting a cute card in the mail? I’m looking forward to bringing a smile to a friend’s day with these fun cards.

Instructions:

1. Use your favorite Fiskars trimmer to trim create card bases from cardstock. For each 4 inch x 5.5 inch card, you’ll need to trim a piece of cardstock to 8 inch x 5.5 inch, then fold in half.

2. Use your Fiskars punches to create simple embellishments for each card-

For a ruffled effect, layer strips of cardstock that you’ve punched with Fiskars Special Edition Butterflies border punch.

Create simple interest by punching several butterflies from cardstock, then using patterned paper for one butterfly. Adhere this shape with foam adhesive for dimension.

To add a feeling of movement, bend the wings of the butterfly shape slightly, and only adhere the center.

3. Print simple inspirational messages on cardstock, then cut into strips. Adhere with an adhesive runner.

Special thanks to October Afternoon for providing the patterned paper for this project.
