I like to have a stack of simple, blank notecards handy for everyday use. They’re great for notes to a teacher, quick thank-you cards, and an easy way to say “hi” to a long-distance friend. One of my favorite things to do is grab a stack of coordinating cardstock and patterned paper, and create a set of 5 speedy cards in one sitting. With the new Fiskars AdvantEdge™ Punch System, you can create simple cards with bold designs in very little time!
Start with a stack of coordinating cardstock and patterned paper, and a handful of blank greeting cards.
Choose your design cartridges. Remember that the AdvantEdge™ Punch System also works with the interchangeable border punch cartridges. Have fun mixing and matching!
Butterflies & Leaves Notecard
Trim a piece of cardstock to fit the card base. Punch one edge with the Ivy League Interchangeable Punch. Adhere to card base. Layer a strip of patterned paper beneath upper edge of punched border. Add a butterfly lace ribbon to the bottom edge of the card.
Filigree Notecard
Layer a piece of solid carstock on card base, allowing a strip of base to be visible at the top of the card. Punch a Ironworks Ribbon from the same color cardstock as your base. Adhere to lower edge of card. Add a strip of patterned paper to the top of the card.
Paisley Notecard
Trim a piece of cardstock to 5 inches wide, and the length of your base card. Use the AdvantEdge™ Perfectly Paisley punch on both edges. You’ll see a few areas of overlap. Trim a piece of patterned paper & adhere to center of card (this will cover any double punched areas). Adhere 3 mini brads.
Ornate Circles Notecard
To create this color-blocked notecard, simply punch 2 strips of cardstock with the same punch cartridge. Layer onto card, and adhere a strip of cardstock between the designs.
See how easy that was? Now you’ll never be without pretty notecards again!
