These multiples make putting together a card or two almost effortless, especially if you create them on the tail end of a layout project where you can put those leftover scraps of paper to use. Everyone needs a stash of all-occasion greeting cards at his or her fingertips, yes?
(insert image: all occasion card5.jpg)
Cut white cardstock to 7” x 10”. Fold in half and crease the fold. You can get a crisp crease by using a bone-folding tool. Place the folded card on your work surface so the fold is on your left and running vertically.
Punch a butterfly from gray cardstock using the butterfly pop-up punch.
To build the background of the card, cut light blue graph paper to 3” x 7” and adhere right-aligned to card front. Cut purple tone-on- tone striped paper to 2” x 7” and slightly overlapping the left-edge of the light blue graph paper. In the remaining space close to the fold, adhere a ½” x 7” strip of neutral colored patterned paper. Cut 1 yard of baker’s twine, fold in half to create a double strand of twine, then wrap around the front flap of the card and tie into a bow. Fold butterfly in half and adhere only the body of the butterfly to create dimension.
Use the Fuse Creativity System® to create the swirl embellishment by die-cutting wood veneer and letter pressing with dark plum ink.
Adhere to card front so it is flush with the right edge.
To finish the card, adhere a few small pre-made floral embellishments to the lower left corner of the widget.
