Love Across the Miles Package

Having moved 26 times over the years, I know how difficult it can be to share across distances.

Looking for a way to keep in touch with family across the miles? It’s easy to stay close with careful planning, and lots of communication. It’s especially fun to share children’s photos and school work with grandparents (or aunts, uncles, cousins!). Use your Fiskars tools to create a little package of love to share with those closest to you!

Notecards

This is a great way to use up scraps of patterned paper and cardstock. Create cute blank notecards for sharing a quick hello, or details about your day. One afternoon of card making with your Fiskars tools can result in a dozen cards to help you keep in touch.

Photo Envelope

Decorate a large envelope with punched shapes & letters to create a storage envelope for photos. Every time you print a photo, or have one printed, order a duplicate. Slip into the envelope, and send off once a month. It’s like getting a snapshot of every day!

School/Art Work Envelope

If you have school-aged children, you’ve probably got piles of schoolwork and artwork. Why not share the wealth? Kids love to show off what they’re learning, and relatives will appreciate the opportunity to praise them. Decorate a large envelope, and encourage your child to slip in artwork or schoolwork. Once the envelope is full, you can send off to an eager grandparent!

Keeping in touch across the miles take a little extra effort, but is well worth it. Your relatives will treasure the photos, cards, and school/art work that you share – and your children will be proud!
