Spring Fashion Notecards

Need inspiration for your next crafting project? Look to the fashion runways!

When designers shared their Spring 2014 collections, the models were sporting graphic patterns, and bold florals.

Using these patterns as my inspiration, I chose a preppy spring palette, and created these simple notecards.

Using the In Bloom Squeeze punch, punch out flowers

Florals don’t always have to be small & soft. Go big & bold with the In Bloom squeeze punch! I used both sizes to punch a variety of flowers.

Spring trend card floral

I chose a lattice patterned paper for the background of this card, then layered small and large flowers for a strong statement. To create dimension, I adhered the small flowers with adhesive, and the large flowers with foam.

Spring trend herringbone card

Herringbone patterns were also big on the runway! I choose a patterned paper in a herringbone pattern for the base of this card. I wanted to mimic the sharper edges, so I layered the star shapes using the Petals on Point Intricate Shape punch. Strips of cardstock on the top and bottom of the card help to balance out the patterns.
