Bachelorette parties have a reputation of being all about a wild and crazy night on the town.

But if the bride's guest list leaves her feeling that maybe something a little more conservative would make the celebration more enjoyable for everyone, or maybe she herself is not into the night club scene, there are other ways to send her off into married life with one last hurrah! One fun way to do this is for her friends pamper her with an at-home spa night in preparation for dinner at her favorite restaurant. Fiskars tools can help make the preparation for a spa-night beautiful yet simple.

punched shapes used to create a diamond ring

These projects are all unified through the use of a diamond ring created with punched shapes. These rings are easily created using the Large Hexagon Squeeze Punch, the Medium Round 'n Round Squeeze Punch, and the Large Round 'n Round Squeeze Punch.

To create the ring with even borders, start by poking a hole in the center of the large circle with a pin. Align the large punched circle within the medium circle punch and maneuvering the circle around until the pinhole is centered within the punch opening. When the punched hexagon is cut as shown, you will be left with a diamond. Glue the two pieces together and you have an engagement ring!

When planning a spa night, begin by preparing a special area for the bride to be the center of attention. As an alternative to a sign, a pennant banner can be made to mark this location. Make sure there is a nice robe and a new pair of slippers available for her to slip into. And lots of new fluffy white towels and washcloths. When the bride's pampering is complete, everyone else will want a little pampering, too!

variety of beauty products to have avaialble for spa night

The Fuse Creativity System(R) and the Favor Wrap Die with Expansion pack can be used to create this packaging for party favors. These can be filled with a bottle of nail polish, small bottles of beauty lotions or facial cleansers, and lip balm. Recipes for making things like sugar scrub and lip balm are plentiful on the internet. Providing the materials to make these and vials to fill would be a fun way to start the party. Providing patterned papers and Fiskars stamps and punches makes labeling quick and easy and pretty!

Small, simple snacks will look pretty served in glass votive cups embellished with more punched shapes. Punched shapes can also be stuck into the top of miniature cupcakes.

handmade photo album

Fiskars tools can also be used to make a mini album to present to the bride as a keepsake for storing photos, stories, and memorabilia from the night. The Fuse, Squeeze Punches, and stamps were used to create the layered embellishments for this Prima resist canvas album after it was sprayed with colored mists.

Fiskars has many tools available that can help you create even more projects for a pretty handmade-themed party like this one.
