Years ago, at every wedding reception you attended, you would find a disposable camera on each table. It was a fun way to capture candid shots of your guests from different points of view.
The photo booth trend in the wedding world is everywhere. Why not create some great props and backdrops yourself?
Begin by using your Fuse Creativity System® to cut out several circles and mirror shapes from shiny and glittered paper. You'll need approximately twelve large shapes for each strand.
Punch out fifty to seventy-five smaller circles shiny and glittered paper.
Cut a length of thread measuring roughly two yards long. Run a length of double stick tape down the center of one of your punched shapes, peel the backing off the tape, place the thread on the strip of tape, and stick a second punched shape on top of the first. Alternate your colors and shapes, and add seven or more to the length of thread.
Repeat until you've created all your strands of glittered shapes. To hang the strands, tie the end of the strand to a thumb tack or pushpin and insert into the ceiling. If you're not able to pin directly into the ceiling, tie the strands to a wooden dowel and create a glittery curtain to hang.
Thrift stores and party stores are great places to look for props for your photo booth. Look there for feather boas, hats, masks, glasses and other fun accessories, but to make it special and custom, craft a few of your own. The "What a Gentleman" stamps work perfect for photo booth props.
Attach a couple of hats and mustache to an acrylic stamp block, ink it up, and stamp on card stock.
Dust the stamped paper with embossing power, and shake off the excess. Follow the instructions on the embossing powder packaging, and heat the powder with a heat gun until melted.
Once the paper has cooled, use a small pair of scissors to cut the hat and mustaches out. Put an adhesive dot on the back of each hat and mustache, so the guests can attach these props to their fingers and pose.
These flags are festive and so easy to make. Just cut a small rectangle from card stock, and stamp a sentiment on it with ink. Dust with embossing powder, remove excess, heat and melt. Attach rectangle to a paper straw with hot glue. Add a few embellishments, and ribbon curls.
Fill your booth with the props, set up a camera on a tripod, and let your guests have fun snapping shots!
