Why settle for a regular store-bought Easter basket when you can create one that is as special as its recipient? These would also make for some festive springtime home decor. All you need is an inexpensive basket, some paper, and a hot glue gun!

Why settle for a regular store-bought Easter basket when you can create one that is as special as its recipient? These would also make for some festive springtime home decor. All you need is an inexpensive basket, some paper, and a hot glue gun!

Instructions:

These steps will vary based on the style of your basket.

  1. Border punch some strips of paper using the "Flowers" border punch and adhere it to bottom of the top band of the basket.
  2. Cut and glue strips of paper to wrap around the bands of the basket and the handle.
  3. Punch butterfly shapes using three colors of paper. Glue only the centers of each around the bottom band of the basket, alternating colors and randomly tilting each one.
  4. Tie a large bow around each base of the handle.
  5. Punch 2 flowers and use the eyelet punch to make a hole in each center. Add the decorative brad.
  6. Place each flower in the center of the bows on the handle.
