This project requires two basic items: duct tape and scissors. Try the Fiskars non-stick scissors with this project.Every flower starts with a center. Cut a square of tape and grab the top right corner of the square. Pull the corner toward the center of the square and adhere the tape to itself.

Repeat the process with the top left corner.

The entire bottom strip of the tape square will still have the adhesive exposed. Begin with the left edge and roll the tape from left to right. The adhesive along the bottom edge will hold together the center.

Now it is time to start building out the petals of the flower. The petals are created individually and use the same technique. Cut a square of tape grab the top right corner of the square. Pull the corner toward the center of the square and adhere the tape to itself. Repeat the process with the top left corner.Instead of rolling the tape up, wrap the adhesive strip around the center of the flower that you created in step one. Repeat this process, placing the petals around the base, building outward. Bigger strips of tape will make bigger petals.

Use the same technique to make a ring. First, however, you will want to create a band. The band will also act as the base for the flower.Cut a piece of tape several inches long (size depends on how large the space for the finger needs to be). Simply fold the tape in thirds horizontally so there is no adhesive remaining.

Then fold the tape strip in half. Put a finger through the opening with the ends of the tape pointing upward. Trim any excess off the ends, but leave approximately one inch of tape remaining above the finger.

Now start the flower by creating a center in the same fashion as described above. However, instead of rolling the center piece around itself, roll the adhesive around the ends of the band (the portion that remains above the finger when the band was tried on in the previous step).

Then use the same technique as previously described to create the petals for the flower ring. Use smaller pieces of tape for smaller petals. Keep adding ?petals? until you achieve the desired size of flower.
