Everyone likes to begin the school year with new supplies – even the teacher! Use Fiskars classroom supplies and craft tools to create this school supply bouquet and get the year off to a great start.
First, create a reusable vase that can be filled with a plant or flowers on the teacher’s desk through the school year. Select a glass container and cut wooden Fiskars rulers to size. Remove the metal edge of the ruler before cutting.
Line the cut-to-size rulers around the edge of the glass container and adhere to the side with strong liquid adhesive. Make sure to use an adhesive that will adhere wood to glass and create a tight fit against the glass.
Next, place a plant or flowers in the vase. If using flowers, first place a piece of floral foam in the bottom of the base.
Wrap floral wire around a variety of school supplies – such as the Precision-tip Kids Scissor (5”) and Plastic Compass. Insert one the end of the wire into the plant or floral foam to stabilize the item within the bouquet. Repeat this process.
To create a gift tag, stamp a decorative circle on lined school-like paper using the Simple Stick Accents Repostionable Rubber Stamps. Add a sentiment from the So Much Thanks 4” x 8” Clear Stamp set.
Punch the stamped image out of the paper using the Round ‘n Round Extra-Large Squeeze Punch. Use the ¼” Circle Hand Punch in the top center to make the circle into a tag.
Tie the tag to the outside of the base using fiber string.
