Treat Box Houses

Add a touch of whimsy to your treats!

Whimsical treat boxes are great party favors. I chose to create mini house-shaped treat boxes for a house warming party!

I first die cut the treat boxes using the Fuse Creativity System® with the Treatbox Large Design Set. I die cut a whole bunch of the treat boxes and then started an assembly line. To make these treat boxes look like little houses, I cut off the top portion of each treat box using the Amplify® Mixed Media Shears. This will form the base of the house and act as a pocket to hold the treats/goodies.

To make the roof, I trimmed 3.5 by 6 inch rectangles from different patterned papers using the SureCut Deluxe Paper Trimmer. I used the smaller 6 by 6 inch paper pads for this because the prints are smaller in scale. I then folded these rectangles in half, lengthwise and adhered them onto the house base. I used a removable glue dot in the front of the house so the roof can be opened to find the treats.

The final touch was to punch squares using the XL Block Party Squeeze Punch and adhering it to make a door for the house.

I decorated each house with a heart, but a fun option would be to personalize each house with a name or initial to match your party guests!
