Spring has to be my most favorite season of all! I love seeing the new flowers bloom and find myself reaching for handmade flowers all the time to decorate my gifts, cards and even layouts!
Here are a few fun ways to make a few flowers to keep on hand!
Using the Amplify® Mixed Media 10 inch Shears, cut circles of fabric in different sizes. Fray the edges of the circles and layer them to make a flower. Decorate with a button and leaves.
Using the Amplify® Mixed Media 10 inch Shears, cut different sized circles from metal sheet. Curve circles to form petals and layer. Decorate with wooden leaves and an enamel dot.
Using the Amplify® Mixed Media 10 inch Shears, trim pink gauze ribbon and fold to form a flower. Cut flags from green felt and use as leaves.
Punch different sized flowers using the Flower Squeeze punches from patterned paper. Color the centers of the flower with watercolor pencils. Instead of water, use gesso on a paintbrush to spread the watercolor.
Shape the petals by curving them slightly and layer to form a flower. Decorate with an enamel dot.
Punch a border onto a patterned paper using the Up in the Clouds Small Punch. Create the flower with the punched border and layer felt, a button and an enamel dot on top. To make leaves, cut burlap (using Amplify® RazorEdge™ 6 inch shears) and metal sheets (using Amplify® Mixed Media 6 inch shears).
