With a few discarded mailing tubes, construction paper, and Fiskars Squeeze Punches you can craft these characters in under 20 minutes.
The AdvantEdge™ Punch System features slide-and-lock technology that makes punching perfectly aligned borders easier than ever.
The possibilities are endless with this project. You're only limited by your imagination and closet size. For less than $4 you can craft a cute pair of shoes.
Craft foam is easy to work with, especially in the Fuse Creativity System®. Foam sheets come in a variety of thicknesses, and some thin foam even works in lever punches. (Please note, while these punches worked on the thin foam for this project, they were designed only for paper.)
1. Begin by cutting several flowers shapes from a sheet of 2 mm craft foam using your Fuse. Punch even numbers - you'll need one for each shoe.
2. Layer a piece of 2 mm foam and a sheet of copy-weight paper together. The paper helps cut a cleaner shape. Slide the materials into your Floral Frenzy Intricate Shape Punch and squeeze.
3. Before you release, give the punch a little tap to shake out the scraps. Release your grip, and then carefully remove the flower shape from the punch.
4. Glue your intricate shapes on top of your solid flowers using a hot glue gun. Glue a gem in the center of each bloom.
5. Glue the flowers to the flip flop tops.
Once you've completed the first shoe, do the same design in reverse on the second.
And once you've made the first pair, you'll want to make more in new shapes and colors. Have fun with your fashion this summer.
