DIY Winter Paintings: Snowman Canvas

  • Difficulty Rating: Beginner
Snowman Winter Canvas

Is the snowy day keeping you indoors? Plan a crafty session with the kids and create this cute snowman canvas art.

*Some children may need some adult assistance with this project.

1. Randomly stamp white snowflakes on a 6" x 6" turquoise cardstock.

2. Place a white scalloped border at the bottom of the cardstock to create a snowy ground.

3. Punch three sizes of circles for the snowman's body, the ear muffs, arms, and a trimmed heart for the nose. See photo below for punch art snowman assembly and put together on the turquoise yardstick.

4. Add the red pom-poms to complete the ear muffs.

5. Use bead accent stickers for the eyes and the buttons on the snowman.

6. Draw tiny dots for the mouth.

7. Adhere the felt strips for the scarf.

8. Add tiny punched snowflakes to the background.

9. Evenly brush on the Mod Podge on the canvas, then adhere the 6" x 6" snowman art to it.
