With a few discarded mailing tubes, construction paper, and Fiskars Squeeze Punches you can craft these characters in under 20 minutes.
The AdvantEdge™ Punch System features slide-and-lock technology that makes punching perfectly aligned borders easier than ever.
First, you’ll need to gather your supplies. Print off a 5x7” photo and choose colorful patterned papers that coordinate with your photo. If your photo colors don’t play nicely with the products you’d like to use, simply convert it to a black and white photo prior to printing. You’ll also need some oversized alphabet stickers that coordinate.
Using the Fuse Creativity System, create three small flowers using cantaloupe colored cardstock with orange ink. Then, create three larger flowers with light blue cardstock and blue ink.
Leave two of the blue flowers as is and layer two buttons over the center of the third, as shown.
Leave one of the orange flowers as is, and add a small pink button to the center of the second and embellish the center of the third with an orange brad.
Adhere your photo at the top of a 7.5” x 11” piece of white cardstock. In the open space remaining, adhere alphabet stickers or chipboard pieces (or a combination of both) to spell out your sentiment. I found it helpful to use a larger font for the word ‘motherhood’ and centered it in the space first, and then added the other words above and below. To keep the word ‘motherhood’ centered, adhere the ‘er’ first (the center letters of the word, to the center of the space) then build the rest of the word onto it.
Adhere this white cardstock to a 12” x 12” patterned paper aligning against the right side of the paper leaving an approximate 1” right margin.
Start embellishing your layout by clustering flowers in the lower left corner of the white cardstock. Use the blue flower with buttons, the plain orange flower and a small paper or silk flower. Cut a leaf shape from green patterned paper and crumple up to create dimension.
In the space below the photo, add strips of patterned papers at varying lengths and widths. The ones shown are as follows: 10” x 1” (blue polka dot), 8 1/2” x 1” (grey stripe), 7” x ¼” (pink). Then embellish the far right side with an orange flower accented with a brad, layered over a blue flower. Add a small pink paper (or silk) flower and another leaf created as described above.
Accent the left side of the photo using the remaining two flowers. Embellish this set with another leaf.
