For this gift, a recipe card file box, since the gift tag was to be a permanent part of the gift, I created an iron-on tag.
I die cut and letterpressed my tag on a scrap of muslin, and I just die cut the tag from a sheet of fusible web.
Following the instructions on the packaging, I adhered the fusible web tag to the muslin one, and then adhered the tag to the lid of the card file box.
Next I created a burlap tag to use for decorative purposes, although you could also create a TO/FROM type tag, too.
This was also die cut and letterpressed, but I did remove the tag, reink the plate, carefully drop the tag back on the plate, and run it through the Fuse again.
Envelopes can be dressed up as well!
Prior to tying a letterpressed and die cut tag around an envelope with a strip of fabric, I sprayed the back side of a doily with spray adhesive, laid the envelope on it, and folded the doily around the envelope.
Doilies can also be die cut and layered over another tag cut from a pretty piece of patterned paper.
One last example of using the Fiskars Fuse to embellish a gift uses a die cut to create a pinwheel bow.
My pink fabric was sheer so I die cut 2 layers of it and stacked them on top of a layer of muslin.
I located the center of the die cuts and cut diagonally from the four corners to 1/2 inch away from the center point. I then folded every other tip to the center of the pinwheel and glued it in place.
I finished the pinwheel bow by gluing some sliver balls to the center of the bow.
So the Fiskars Fuse can be used to create everything you need to make your package a pretty one, whether it's a card, a gift tag, or a bow!
