Summer Mixed Media Poster

There is something fun and freeing about creating mixed media art, especially when you only need a few tools and a little time to create.

This piece is not only fun, but functional – it can add a nice summer feel to any room in your home.

1. Using the Amplify® 10inch Mixed Media shears, cut different patterned papers and adhere onto the poster base.

 2. Using the entire stamp set all at once, stamp repeatedly over the page to add some color and texture.

3. Add paint all around the poster.  To do this, take one color and paint around the edges.  Then add in dots of another, brighter or contrasting color for texture.  For this project, paint dabbers were used.  You can also use a brush and regular acrylic paint for different results.  You can use your fingers to add the dots or other shapes if you are using regular paint.  Experiment and have fun.  There is no right or wrong way.

4. Add stickers or other embellishments to add pops of color

5. Add a title with embossing powders and a pen.

Now you can share your love for summer with anyone that comes into your home.
