Chase Away the Winter Blues

Chase Away the Winter Blues

Every year once the skies start to turn grey, the sun sets earlier, and the temperatures drop, the winter blues hit me. My cure? Head south to some sun. I created this layout about a winter trip to Bermuda, where I beat my blues. I also played on the idea of using a lot of blue in my color palette. Create fun layers using the Boundary Waters Border Punch and let those sunny memories keep you warm all winter long.

1. Adhere photos to 12x12 patterned paper background. Punch a strip of green patterned paper using the Postage Stamp Border Punch and adhere to the page.

2. Punch strips of blue cardstock and vellum using the Boundary Waters Border Punch. Trim into small strips and adhere to the page, layering on top of each other. Stitch the top layer of blue cardstock together with the green patterned paper. Punch stars out of yellow cardstock with the Star Pop-Up Punch.

3. Use the Circle Cutter to create a yellow circle out of cardstock. Adhere under the photos and add the title using letter stickers. Print your journaling onto white cardstock, cut into strips, and adhere.
