1) How long have you been crafting?

The first thing that comes to mind is forever! I was the girl in school who spent more time decorating the poster or cover page for my project than doing the actual work. All through my adult life I have dipped my toes into different crafts, formally beginning with scrapbooking and card making over twelve years ago.

2) Why did you start crafting?

The biggest thing that initially drove my crafting passion as an adult was having kids. When they were born, I began documenting their lives on paper. It’s been a huge rolling snowball ever since.

3) How long have you been on the Fiskars® Design Team?

Since the summer of 2006.

4) What are your favorite craft activities?

I constantly go through phases, but currently I’m completely obsessed with crafting parties and embellishing clothing.

5) How do you define your crafting style/aesthetic?

Playful yet classic.

6) What is your favorite time of day to craft?

I’ve always been a night owl. That’s when the creative side of my brain wakes up!

7) What motivates/inspires you?

My family and home. I love celebrating the everyday by documenting their lives and celebrating the big things with handcrafted parties. I also enjoy outfitting them with one-of-a-kind fashions and outfitting our home with truly personal touches.

8) If you could only have one Fiskars® tool, what would it be and why?

First of all, this is a cruel question ... but after some thought, it’s actually easy to answer. A pair of classic orange-handled scissors. They are used every day, even when I am not crafting at all. Essential. Versatile. Classic.
