1. How long have you been crafting?
I've been crafting and sewing since childhood. It's something I've always enjoyed doing and it continues to be a big part of my life. Scrapbooking became my big hobby shortly after my first child was born in 2000.
2. What started you into crafting?
I developed an interest in sewing as I watched tailors and seamstresses work away at a tailoring shop that my Mom owned when I was a young girl. I've been sewing most of my life and have developed this skill well through the years. Scrapbooking became my primary craft after becoming a mother due to the multitude of photos I accumulated of my children. It was introduced to me at an in-home workshop and the rest is history.
3. How long have you been on the Fiskars Design Team?
In October 2007, I joined the Fiskars Team. I also did a great deal of design work for Fiskars before the first official Design Team was formed.
4. What are your favorite craft activities?
I love to sew and do all types of paper-crafting.
5. How do you define your crafting style/aesthetic?
It's clean, linear, and detail-oriented.
6. What is your favorite time of day to craft?
The best time of the day to craft is during the daytime, while my children are at school.
7. What motivates/inspires you?
My children and brand new photos of events inspire me to scrapbook. Beautiful fabric, a new fun project, and some absolute-free time motivates me to sew.
8. If you could only have one Fiskars tool, what would it be and why…
Selecting just one is difficult. A pair of Fiskars Softgrip Micro-tip scissors is something I cannot craft without. It's my go-to tool for cutting and snipping. Plus, it is perfect for precision cutting, too. I always have to have a backup of that one.
