    - Store the axe in a dry place
    - Keep the head lightly oiled when not in use to prevent rust
    - For safety, and to keep the blade sharp, use the protective sheath when the axe is not in use

I've had one of these for 7 years and have used it for everything from clearing brush to splitting logs at deer camp. I've beat the snot out of the this thing and it's still in great shape. Can't go wrong with one of these.
