Split larger logs in one strike with an axe that maximizes your efficiency.

The X25 Splitting Axe is a great choice for anyone who needs to split medium- to large-sized logs quickly. Like every X-Series™ Hatchet or Axe, the X25 combines perfected weight distribution, advanced blade geometry, an ultra-sharp edge and virtually unbreakable design to maximize your performance. This combination of features allows the blade to disperse wood more effectively, offering more one-strike splits with each swing. Since you can split wood more easily with the X25, each job requires less time, less effort and less hand strain.

    FAQ

    • Axes and Striking
        • How should I care for my axe?
          • Store the axe in a dry place
          • Keep the head lightly oiled when not in use to prevent rust
          • For safety, and to keep the blade sharp, use the protective sheath when the axe is not in use
        • What is the difference between chopping and splitting?
          • Chopping consists of cutting a horizontal log into segments with multiple swift, sharp, downward strokes of a hatchet or axe
          • Splitting consists of cutting a vertically positioned log in half with a single downward stroke of an axe

One of the best things that i have spent my money on. Bought one of these spliting axes a few years back when I first started spliting wood. i often choose to split the logs my self with my axe then to use my friends log spliter its just faster that way. the unique stright egde of the axe keeps the axe head from sticking or getting stuck in a log that just wont split "right away" i have yet to come across a log that this axe wont split. it may take a few extra hits at time but it normaly gets the job done. over all: very efficiant light weight wont wear you out so quickly dosent get wedged in logs works even better on frozen logs AND ITS A MUST BUY!!!!!!!!!!

I have never written a review before but felt I had to for all of those who split wood the old fashioned way....by hand with a maul. This is by far the best splitting axe I have ever used. It is so light weight that it is easy to swing even with a heavy coat on. I have a hydraulic log splitter sitting in my back yard unused because of this axe. Great design and a product that I recommend to all. Thank you for making heating my home with wood less of a chore!

This is one of the few products that I bothered to ever "review". I had purchased a pair of Fiskar 3X Loppers some time ago and one of the handles broke. Got a replacement from Fiskar with ease. Loved that! Then I had been wanting to upgrade my old ax that I utilize to split mesquite wood here in Central and South Texas. So I did my due diligence on-line and researched a few axes. Most reviews of the Fiskar X25 and X27 were gushing and I thought "Could they really work that well?". So due to my past Lopper experience with Fiskar and the reviews I decided to give them a shot. I'm only about 5' 7" so I opted to purchase the X25. Once I got the feel for the X25 I was like "Holy Cow!!!"...this ax is probably the best money I've ever spent on any one tool....EVER...and having grown up on a small farm/ranch in South Texas I've used my share of tools. The mesquite wood I was splitting seemed like it was splitting itself sometimes...it was that easy. I was almost disappointed that I split my wood too fast because I was enjoying swining the ax and seeing the results...amazing. I did have to adjust my swing...no longer needed to really do the round-house over the shoulder or even over my head....that generated too much power. Instead I just litterly raise it slighty to my head with my left hand over my right instead of my right on top of left(I'm right handed)....plenty of power still and able to hit more precisely with the ax. If you are in the maket for an ax or just need an excuse to get one of the best tools out there ....get yourself a Fiskar X25 it is truly an awesome tool. Happy splitting!
