I recently bought this splitting axe online from Sears. I got it home after work and I lierally split my entire wood pile in 30 minutes. I figured I would be working on this for hours even days. I originally used a 8 pound maul and it was way to much work that is when I found Fiskars online. After i split the first two logs in single hits I knew I made the right decision to buy this splitting axe. i even hit the handle a few times and it didn't even leave a mark. Don't hesitate just buy this axe it is the best. I was looking at a $97.95 Stihl splitting maul I am glad i stuck with Fiskars. this is a awesome item

alsome axe i ahave the x27 swings great and cuts threw any thing . Only thing that I found wrong is if you don't know about knots in the wood don't cut,the blade chipped on impact cause i had no clue there was a knot in it. But other than that it is still a good axe

Chopping wood like I was slicing butter with a hot knife. Cut a 2 foot log with my first swing. It is comfortable to hold, light weight but gets the job done with no problems at all and no tiring. I have over swung a couple of times and hit the handle, no problem at all, didn't hurt it even a bit. Holds a sharp edge after cutting logs.

Outstanding wood splitting axe! Performed better than my 8lb maul my first time out with it. Didn't stick in the round like regular axes usually do when the first swing doesn't split it. Fiskars seems to have found the right balance between shape, size, and sharpness.

Fiskars, I recently purchased a X27 splitting axe and couldn't be happy with its performance. I am 43 years old and have spent most of my life burning wood and of course cutting and splitting it in preparation for the winter. Historically, I have used a 8lb splitting maul to do the work. I heard about your product from a friend who bragged about what a great axe it is. At first, I doubted his tail of the improved ease of wood splitting using the X27. Whoever one, day we were out cutting oak and he had his Fiskars for me to try out on some large rounds. Impressed would be understatement. The ease of which it split the big rounds was unparalleled to anything I have used. I immediately purchased my own X27 and have been blowing apart the big rounds with ease for weeks now. Thank you for producing suck a great product for all of us "Human Wood Splitters" out here. I cant tell you how much better my back feels form swinging your light weight efficient axe. Where have you been all of my life? After doing some extensive research I decided to purchase the X27 and I am glad that I did. Fiskars has made the perfect axe! I cuts though some of the toughest wood with ease. I now enjoy splitting wood. Thank you guys!

I recently purchased this splitting ax. I just used it today. it cut through the wood like it was a knife going through butter. It did it quickly and with ease. I am throwing my old ax out. I am impressed. it does not weight a lot, if you have logs that need to be split give this ax a try. i split various logs that were different heights and widths, and the ax cut them all with out difficulty. i am going to purchase the hatchet. next. i never had used fiskar products before other than punning shears. you have gained me as a customer for life. thanks for making a great product and having a life time warranty, if i ever need it

Just bought this today to split up a load of black locust. One-hit splits all the way! I have never split wood so effortlessly. Far from that old splitter of dad's that I could barely lift much less split anything with. Buy it, you will not regret it.
