A telescoping design extends to 33" so there’s no cut you can’t make, and Tight-Lock mechanisms secure the handles at the perfect length. Bought this item two summers ago, one extension handle fell off during the first summer of use, and the second summer, the entire other handle kept falling off. Not pleased at all with this product from normally a reliable name brand.
