Someone called this a Go-To tool and they are right. I use it all the time in my gardens. Probably not the use it was intended for, but I take it to the cemetery and it's great for going through sod to edge all of the family grave stones. I'm sure this season I'll find all sorts of new uses for it.

My sister gave me this handy tool for a birthday present. At first blush, I thought "what an evil looking thing." But two years later, it really is my go-to weeding, bulbing, potting, hacking tree root tool. I use it in clay-sandy soil with lots of Maple trees.

So Useful, This Knife Is On My (Garden Tool) Belt! I do a lot of volunteer garden maintenance work and this tool is so useful it is one of three tools that I keep strapped to my work belt. The quality and design of this tool is top notch and I highly recommend it for all skill level of gardeners.

This was purchased for me as a gift in March. I used it twice in sandy loamy soil without weeds. The third time I used it to pry under a seedling tree in the flowerbed it snapped at the hilt. This knife is not full tang, meaning, the blade is two pieces tack welded together in the middle . The weld is small and weak. I was surprised at the low quality of this tool considering the Fiskars name brand. I was extremely disappointed because there is not another tool on the market shaped exactly like this and I had planned to buy three more for my mom and dad and brother because I was so pleased with the purchase. Too bad...

I have had my knife for 3 years; it is versatile and sturdy.. I'm at a loss if it's not in my 'tool bucket', that's why I'm on this site to buy another!
