The rope-free design means you can use both hands to maximize your power and accuracy, and an easy-to-grip sliding handle makes the pruning action smooth and simple. The lightweight pole extends up to 12', and an actuating ball at the end of the shaft lets you reach even farther and still prune with precision. An included 15" saw blade makes it easy to take down thicker branches, and the cutting head rotates up to 230º to let you prune and saw at tough angles. With the Pruning Stik^® Telescoping Tree Pruner, there’s no cut you can’t make.

What should I know to use my pruner safely?

- Keep the pruning blade and saw blade clean — wipe away sap and debris with a mild detergent

I think this is a great tool. I've had it over 5 yrs and it works better than the pull-rope, sissor type pole trimmers. The pole adjust easily although it has been slipping lately.

Agile tool to a point... Head broke after several months of use... Not very useful tool today, Just an expensive item in my garage.

I have both Pruning Stiks. Wonderful tools. Better living through design. Highly recommended. Light weight. Adjustable angle for cutting. Human arms extended option to increase pruning reach. Both hands on the Stick for better control. Ergonomic. The "flat rope" extends/retracts with the adjustment of the telescoping Stik Compared with the common pole pruner which is heavy, cumbersome, awkward: this is a joy to use. Decisions still have to be made if a saw cut is to be selected based on the size of the branch or its location. Neither a saw nor a pruner is easy to "help" when it is twelve feet from the ground. Thinking is encouraged.

Sucks... doesn't cut doesn't extend and there are no instructions on the packaging on why or how.

Great product. This is one of Fiskars better tools. Way better than the shear strap tree pruners. This tool does work and holds up. I've used it on about every thing including Citrus and Mesquite. You have to torque down the extension slide hold down considerably when using the saw or the shaft will slide if the saw binds up even a little bit, but other than that it has preformed very well.
