Luckily for me, creating an entire gift card set is super easy with just one design set from the Fuse line. I grabbed that, along with some great papers from Bella Blvd and I was off and running in minutes!
First I inked my plates. Next I laid one 12x12 sheet of cardstock on top of the die, added the cutting plate, and then ran the whole thing through the machine in one foul swoop. Within just a few seconds I had all of the elements I needed to put my project together.
Next I cut some cardstock and patterned paper to make my card. I cut the base to be 5 ½ x 8 ½ and then folded it. I trimmed my patterned paper to about ½ an inch less and adhered it to the center of the card. Next I added a 2” strip across the middle out of a coordinating paper. Finally, I added a few stickers and one of the embellishments to the middle and my card was complete.
Next I simply added a few stickers to the various pieces, which added a winter flair and tied the whole thing together.
All that was left to do was grab my Starbucks card, adhere it to the one tag and put that in the pillow box. Then I tied another tag on a nice coffee mug and I had a quick and custom looking gift set, rather than just the standard gift card envelope. Now, I am off to make more. Let’s see. There’s the librarian, the classroom teacher, the day care provider…
