1. Begin by cutting a strip of patterned paper to create the large "ribbon" on the front of the bag. My bag is 8 inches wide so I cut my paper 6 inches wide. Find the center of the strip and measure up 3 inches. Using a Fiskars paper trimmer, cut from this point to each bottom corner. Adhere the paper to the front of the bag.
2. Cut a section of patterned paper to go across the top of top of the bag. Before adhering it, use the Up In the Clouds Interchangeable Border Punch to create a strip to go along the bottom edge. Adhere the patterned paper strip and border punch strip to the bag.
3. I used the Fuse Creativity System® to create this scalloped embellishment, cardstock, and stamping ink, create a gift tag for the bag. Adhere it to the front of the bag.
To finish it off, just add some colorful tissue paper or shredded filler!
A plain brown kraft gift bag can be quickly and easily transformed into a one-of-a-kind presentation for a special gift, white cardstock, and some patterned papers.
