With a few discarded mailing tubes, construction paper, and Fiskars Squeeze Punches you can craft these characters in under 20 minutes.
It’s just one of those campfire favorites that you just can’t get enough of, so next time you have a party, why not send your guests away with a delightful little S’mores kit? With the help of the Large Favor Wrap Design Set and the Fuse Creativity System(R) you can have your party favors put together in no time!
First you’ll need to run your 12” square cardstock through the Fuse Creativity System(R) using the Large Favor Wrap Design Set. Since you will be just die-cutting and not embossing, be sure to insert the blank design plates into the appropriate slots before die-cutting as noted in the package instructions.
Once you have all of them cut, add a bit of visual depth to the cardstock by misting with a coordinating color of shimmer mists and allow to dry as you move on to the next step.
Next, punch several petals from red, orange, rust and yellow cardstock or patterned paper. Cut small notches into several of the petals so they take on more of a flame shape. Once assembled, mist or ink them to add a layer of visual dimension. Allow to dry, and then use glue dots to add them to the front of the favor bag. Bind together broken bits of twigs gathered from outside or broken off from a store-bought grapevine wreath. Just a few thin branches will make quite a statement and they look best when bound together with a neutral color of thread. I chose a brown baker’s twine so it blends nicely.
Package enough ingredients to build two s’mores into cellophane bags.
When the misting on your favor wraps are dry, construct the side and bottom flaps of the favor wrap using your favorite adhesive. Cut a 1 ½” x 9” strip of patterned paper and adhere it to the front of the favor wrap so the bottom edge is flush with the sidewalls. Insert the s’mores kit, fold over the envelope-like flap and staple in place. Next, punch a hole on either side of the staples. Cut a double length of jute, thread through holes and tie into a bow. Add some raw wooden shapes and a decorative stick-pin.
Finish the decorating by adhering the bound twigs with a low-temp hot glue gun.
