Teacher Notes and Thank You Gift Set

There’s no denying that teaching is a hard job – so I like to do what I can to take care of my boys’ teachers.

In addition to helping out in the classroom and donating supplies, I like to make them useful gifts from time to time. This notecard & thank you set features the new Fiskars Apple a Day Squeeze Punch and Notebook Paper Border Punch, and is easy to make in bulk.

Instructions:

notepaper

Teacher Notes

  1. Format a document with a landscape orientation. Make your top margin 2 inches and set the document to two columns. Type “From the desk of (teacher’s name)” in both of the columns. Load the resume paper into your printer and print as many copies as you want. (NOTE : I used resume paper because it’s nicer than standard printer paper, but lighter weight than cardstock. I picked up a pack at my local office supply store – it’s well priced for a project like this)
  2. Use your Desktop Rotary Trimmer to cut the paper into 2 5.5 inch x 8.5 inch notes.
  3. Use your Notebook Paper border trimmer along the top edge of each note paper.
  4. Punch three apples for each sheet of note paper from yellow patterned paper using the Apple a Day Punch.
  5. Punch one apple for each sheet of note paper from red patterned paper using the Apple a Day Punch.
  6. Punch three leaves from green patterned paper using the Apple a Day punch.
  7. Arrange the apples across the top of the note paper.
thankyou

Thank You card

  1. Use your Desktop Rotary Trimmer to cut the paper into 2 5.5 inch x 8.5 inch sheets. Fold each in half to create a card.
  2. Use your Apple a Day Squeeze Punch to punch an apple in a piece of aqua patterned paper.
  3. Back the punched patterned paper with red (behind the apple) and green (behind the leaf).
  4. Layer that piece of paper to a rectangle of yellow patterned paper. Use a staple to attach them together.
  5. Adhere the punched patterned paper to the card front.
  6. Using your Stamp Block set and a thank you stamp from the Thanks So Much set, stamp a sentiment under the patterned paper.
  7. Use your Notebook Paper border punch along the top edge of the card.

Envelope and Tag

  1. To embellish your envelopes, punch an apple from scrap paper. Layer the scrap paper over your envelope as a mask and spray the envelope with red spray ink.
  2. To create a tag as a perfect finishing touch for your gift set, punch an apple out of a shipping tag, and then stamp a thank you sentiment from the So Much Thanks stamp set in red ink.
  3. Stack your note paper, cards and envelopes. Wrap baker’s twine around the set and then tie the tag on the front.
