The AdvantEdge™ Punch System features slide-and-lock technology that makes punching perfectly aligned borders easier than ever.
You can easily create a single label along with some fabric and minimal embellishing to pretty up a basic canning jar for gift giving. Or, take a more simple approach and create a whole slew of them in a matter of minutes to properly label a whole season’s worth of harvest. Bottom line, it all starts with the help of the Fuse Creativity System.
First gather the cardstock and ink you would like use. Next, you’ll insert your label press plate from the Medium Expansion Pack 0084 into the recessed area of the Medium Design Set 0084 and place into the orange carrier. Ink the press plate with ink. Remove from the orange carrier and place a 4 ½” square of cardstock onto the press plate, textured side down. Top with the cutting plate and crank it through the Fuse. Remove the die-cut piece and allow ink to dry for a few minutes.
Then, using your Alpha Basic Stamp Set and an acrylic block, stamp the jar contents onto the label. If the description is longer, try stamping on two separate lines to ensure you don’t run out of space. Also, stamp working from the bottom of the label up. I recommend stamping longer words one letter at a time so you can stamp each letter closer together. Shorter words can easily be arranged on the block, inked and stamped all at together making the process of duplicating a large number of labels a super slick process.
To add some fun flair to your jars for gift giving, trace the outer ring of the smallest circle in the Supersized Circle Template set onto the backside of a coordinating piece of fabric.
Cut out along your traced line using pinking shears.
Lay fabric over the jar’s seal, and then tighten the band onto the jar to hold in place. Thread coordinating ribbon or baker’s twine around the band and thread through the holes of a large button before tying in a bow.
Cut a 12” x 1” strip of coordinating patterned paper. Place adhesive on the back of the strip and wrap around the jar for a simple embellishment. The 12” strip with be slightly shorter than the circumference of a quart-sized canning jar, but the die-cut label will cover where the seams don’t meet.
Adhere label to jar using an adhesive tape runner.
