One Word Layout

One of my favorite New Year’s traditions is to choose one word to focus on throughout the year.

Inspired by Ali Edwards. One Little Word project, I create a layout using my word to hang in my office. It’s a great visual reminder throughout the year. This year, my word is “Abundance.” I created 2 layouts – one for home, and one for work – so that my word will always be on my mind.

Instructions:

1. Use your favorite Fiskars trimmer to cut a piece of patterned paper slightly smaller than your base cardstock. Round the upper corners with Fiskars small Round Corner Lever Punch.

2. Use Fiskars Notebook Border punch to trim the lower edge. Adhere to base cardstock.

3. Trim a small strip of coordinating patterned paper with Fiskars Upper Crest Border punch and adhere under lower edge – creating a layered look.

4. Add your chosen word to the center of the layout. I also added a quote to the upper corner using journaling strips.

5. Embellish layout using Fiskars Special Edition Spring Punches

6. Create a mini-version of your layout to keep at your office – or even a purse sized card to carry with you!
