I made one example of each project and added it to the kit. I figure the children will get the gist of what they need to do - and if they don’t, they are free to use the supplies in their own way!
Tissue Paper Flower box
Cut shapes using the scallop circle die in the Fuse, cutting multiple layers at a time (I cut mine in batches of 30).
Use the eyelet setter to punch a small hole through the center of the layers of tissue paper. To finish the flower, insert a brad through the center of multiple layers of tissue paper. Tie craft wire around the brad and open the ends to secure.
Turn the flower over, and ruffle up each layer of tissue paper individually to create a full, dimensional flower.
Place the flower in the kit box along with all the supplies needed to complete the project.
Mixed Media Banner
Use the square die to cut canvas, fabric and other leftover textiles you have laying around in your stash.
Trim some of the fabric squares with a rotary cutter for added interest.
Cut extra notions such as ric rac, ribbon, fabric tape, lace, etc. and add to the kit. Cut flower shapes using the flower mini die. Add some mini clothespins so that the banners can be pegged to a length of baker’s twine to display.
Bird Sun Catchers
Use the Bird die to cut shapes from acrylic sheets.
Cut small squares of tissue paper using the Amplify 8” mixed media shears.
Add a jar of glue and foam brush to the box. Children will adhere the tissue paper squares to the acrylic shapes. Once dry, punch a small hole at the top of the bird and tie with baker’s twine.
They can be hung in a garland across the window to catch the light.
