This scissors are not useful for kids with little hands like the ones of ages 6 or less. The space between the top and the bottom of the handles is best at about 4cm (1.5'') so that they are able to open them when cutting. Fiskars use to have models that where just a bit bigger than the 4cm specification a while ago, but they changed the models (to look more appealing I suppose) and are now extremely difficult to use by kids with small hands as they measure about 5cm (2’’). I wish they would reconsider their models to fit small hands needs.
