I loved it so much, I bought 3. The best camping/survival chopping tool I've ever used. Carry this and Victorinox one hand trekker camping. All I've ever needed.
Very disappointing, I'll take a machete over this any day, tried using it to cut Brazilian Pepper trees and it wore me out, My machete makes short work of them, wouldn't buy it again
I've used this for a few years and it still limbs trees and scrub without needing sharpening yet. The handle is slick but grip tape fixed that.
i was playing around with one of these Brush Axe today at Sears. i LOVE the handle, long enough grip to use 2 handed if the brush gets thick enough. however, the axe itself was not sharp AT ALL! it looked like that part of the manufacture got skipped over on the display piece i was handling. the blade is too thin & does not weigh enough for the follow through to chop dense, fine stalked woody weeds & brush, which is what i use a machete for. i also tried the 22" machete for sale there & had exactly the opposite opinions: VERY sharp, enough weight to handle well, but a grip so small i thought it was built for a guy with 3 fingers. i like the hooked design, i would definitely prefer over a traditional machete shape. i wish there was a 22" version of this axe design.
Best cutting tool ever purchased. Way better then a machete
This is the go-to tool for chopping brush. I had a machete that typically got used for this purpose, but after getting frustrated at the lack of performance, I bought one of these. This is great for thinner diameter brush, and I've chopped through thicker brush--up to an inch and a half--with no issues whatsoever. The steel is great. It sharpens easily and holds an edge for a long time. I really like this product, and recommend it to anyone in need of a great, budget-friendly tool.
if i had to describe this item in one word it would just simply be a tank
